Lilien Kovács-Hélisz
MA, RCC
Bio
I have always had a heart for people, coming alongside them in their joys and supporting them through their struggles in life. I remember being curious, even while growing up, about what was really going on deep inside us. I have felt drawn to facilitating emotional and relational growth in people, which led me to study psychology, family systems theory and various therapy modalities. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), I never stop being fascinated by how much growth and healing can happen in and through an empathetic and supportive relationship.
When I am not counselling, I love hiking, exploring nature, travelling, and spending quality time with loved ones.
My Approach
In my counselling work, I integrate different therapeutic modalities, including family systems, schema therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychodrama methods. At the core of my approach is creating a safe and empathetic environment where clients can feel genuinely heard. Uncovering patterns in our lives and understanding our personal and interpersonal dynamics in a safe and supporting space can be profoundly freeing. When the wounds or the relationships that hold us back start to heal, their positive effects ripple through other areas of our lives. Life leads to more life, and I have seen this transformation happen so often in counselling.
