Intern, CCPA Student Member

Bio

I am in the final stages of completing a Master of Counselling degree. Previously, I worked as a Professor of Music and Voice for 22 years. During my time as a professor, I recognized that I have always wanted to help people who are hurting and wrestling with what life has thrown at them. When I am not teaching or counselling, I enjoy making music, riding horses, and spending time with family.

During my internship, I participate in weekly supervision. Experienced supervisors ask questions and offer advice to help me strengthen my skills so that I may serve you better. Intern rates are greatly discounted, so please get in touch with me if you would like to work together.

My Approach

I approach each session with a holistic and client-centered emphasis through active listening and an empathic presence. I seek to tailor the therapeutic journey to your needs recognizing the uniqueness of each individual. Therapy consists of collaboratively establishing goals and helping you achieve those goals. I value the therapeutic alliance and desire to create an inviting space in which it is safe for you to acknowledge challenges and explore options that will provide tools for coping, healing, and personal growth.
